Frequently asked questions

What is Integrative Counselling?

Integrative counselling is a flexible, personalized approach that combines techniques from various therapeutic schools of thought to address a client's unique needs and goals. Instead of adhering to a single, rigid method, integrative counselling tailors the therapeutic process to the individual, drawing on a diverse array of techniques and theories to find the most effective path to healing

What are the benefits of online or telephone sessions?

One of the most significant advantages of online or telephone counselling is its flexibility. Participants can connect from anywhere in the world, eliminating the need for travel and cutting down on travel expenses. This convenience is particularly beneficial for those with busy schedules or those living in remote areas where in-person therapy options may be limited.

What can I expect at the first counselling session?

During your first counselling session, we will begin with an introduction to the sessions and an explanation of how they can work for you. We will cover important aspects such as contracting and ensuring that you are clear about confidentiality. The session will involve discussing what is currently going on for you and what you hope to achieve through counselling. If you don't have specific goals at the outset, that's perfectly okay. We can work together to identify and develop these goals as the sessions progress.
